Privacy Policy – Heart Rate
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the iOS app Heart Rate (also shown as Pulsómetro, Puls, Pouls, Pulso or Battito depending on your language), developed by Manuel Luis Ortiz Rojas ("we"), handles your information.
1. Information the app processes on your device
- Camera and flash. To measure your heart rate, the app uses the rear camera and flash to detect color changes in your fingertip. The images are analyzed in real time on your device only. They are never saved, recorded or sent anywhere.
- Measurements. The heart rate readings you save, together with the date and the activity you select, are stored only on your device. We do not have access to them and they are not uploaded to any server. Deleting a reading or the app removes them.
- Settings. Your preferences (reminders, vibration, voice) are stored only on your device.
- Notifications. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No data is sent to send them.
We do not ask for your name, email or any account, and we do not collect health data on our own servers.
2. In-app purchase
The "Remove ads" purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether the purchase is active.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and process data such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions, in order to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalize ads. Your measurements and health data are never shared with Google or any advertiser.
For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent tool before ads use your data for personalization or measurement. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options inside the app.
5. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Not a medical device
The app is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and must not be used for diagnosis or treatment. If you have health concerns, consult a healthcare professional.
7. Your rights
Because your measurements stay on your device, you control them fully and can delete them at any time. For data processed by Google for advertising, you can manage your choices through the in-app privacy options, your device's advertising settings, or Google's privacy tools. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, correct or delete personal data; contact us to exercise them.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
